Some affiliates jump on the bandwagon and start promoting every single hot product.

But it can be irritating to receive tons of emails promoting the same product with the same sales pitch. Some affiliates do not even bother to change the email sales letter. Pick a product that you are passionate about. And make extra effort to differentiate yourself from other affiliates. You may want to look at these few.
2. ) Joining one too many affiliate programs
Many affiliates chase after the newest affiliate programs. The internet is full of new stuff so you can never catch up with all of them. While it is good to have multiple streams of income, it is difficult to promote all at the same time and you end up losing focus. It is always good to concentrate on one great program and promote it with your best efforts. Once the results are good, set it on autopilot/semi-autopilot mode and move onto the next.
3. ) Not buying the product or service
Your task as an affiliate is to convince your prospects to buy your product. To do that, you need to know it inside out. It is always good to try out the product or service and when you love what you see, promote it as a living testimony. There is greater persuasion in your promotion efforts.
